🌎 EDF International Networks had the pleasure to host a delegation from CIER – Comisión de Integración Energética Regional (the Latin American regional energy commission), with Electricity Operators from several Latin American countries.

During a whole week, EDF IN shared its experience on the French electricity landscape, and the implementation of smart and resilient grids and AMI solutions and organizations.
The program included technical presentations, expert insights, and a site visit to a primary substation in Amiens — offering a hands-on look at the realities of intelligent energy distribution.

🌏 Technical Expertise Mission on Primary Substations for EVN Vietnam in Danang

As part of the Technical Expertise and Experience Exchange Fund, financed by the AFD and implemented through the EDF Ci2T, EDF-IN carried out a mission in Danang, Vietnam, during the week of March 17, 2025, for EVN, the country’s main electricity distributor.

This mission provided an opportunity to lead technical workshops on key topics in power distribution, including:

💡 20kV GIS switchgear & Ring Main Units : french doctrines, best practices and technical innovations.
🔌 Live Line Works on MV networks, with a focus on the three methods: contact, potential, and distance, as well as the development of competencies through training programs, training centers, and the establishment of a test laboratory and a repair center for MV Live Line Works equipment.
💻 Digitalization of primary substations, particularly digital control and monitoring systems.

To complement these discussions, a visit to a primary substation and the EVN CPC regional control center was organized during the week of March 24, 2025, fostering in-depth exchanges on best practices and innovations in network operation and maintenance.

These exchanges reflect a shared commitment to advancing best practices in MV/LV network management and operation.

Sincere thanks to the EVN teams for their warm welcome and the high quality of technical discussions, as well as to our Ci2T partners for their trust in this international collaboration.
