🎗️ What if a race could have more impact than just the miles covered?

For the second year in a row, on June 2, we’ll be lacing up our trainers and pulling on our T‑shirts to take part in the Enfants sans Cancer race, organised by the Imagine for Margo – Children without Cancer association.

Whether seasoned runners, Sunday joggers or champions of “I’m taking part for a good cause”, everyone is getting involved with the same level of energy.
Voluntarily. Collectively. Because for us, commitment doesn’t stop at the office.

Through this charity race, we bring our CSR commitment to life by supporting a vital cause, bringing our teams together and turning collective momentum into positive impact.

👉 On June 2, we’ll be running… for a cause well worth a few drops of sweat. 💛

EDF International Networks at ADELATAM 2026 : AI & Advanced Analytics in Action

👉 Artificial intelligence has become a key driver in the transformation of the electricity sector. Faced with increasingly complex networks, higher expectations for service quality, and ever‑growing volumes of data, AI enables the shift from reactive operations to a predictive, more efficient, resilient, and customer‑centric approach.

We are pleased to announce EDF International Networks’ participation in the first edition of ADELATAM 2026, taking place on May 20–21, 2026, in Buenos Aires.
🔹 This event will be a great opportunity to exchange on how advanced analytics and data intelligence are reshaping electricity distribution networks worldwide.

Our LATAM Area Manager, Jose Carlos Palma, will share EDF International Networks’ experience on the contribution of AI and advanced analytics to network operations.
🔹 He will share our concrete experience in transitioning toward data‑driven, evidence‑based predictive models, supporting asset performance and the energy transition.

👏 We look forward to engaging with the LATAM energy community at ADELATAM 2026 with ADELAT – AsociaciĂłn de Distribuidoras de EnergĂa ElĂ©ctrica Latinoamericanas

🔍 Co-building the Future Smart Grid Laboratory with Saudi Energy (SE) Teams

Saudi Energy (SE) is advancing Saudi Arabia’s energy transition and grid digitalization. As part of this effort, SE is exploring the feasibility and potential benefits from developing a Smart Grid Lab (SGL), a state-of-the-art facility designed to replicate real grid conditions while ensuring zero impact on the live system aiming to strengthen research and development activities at SE.

At EDF International Networks, we are supporting SE in this strategic initiative, drawing on our distribution network expertise and on lessons learned from our Concept Grid Lab in France. This experience enables us to bring a structured and pragmatic contribution to the project.
This future lab will support key challenges such as:
⚡ Grid stability
🌞 Renewable energy integration
🛡️ Cybersecurity
📡 Digitalization & interoperability

At EDF International Networks, we believe innovation truly matters when it’s rooted in the reality of networks and user needs.

🔍 Working on the Ground in Saudi Arabia
Our recent mission focused on:
âś… Understanding real needs and the local operational context
âś… Identifying priority use cases
âś… Initiating the development of the business model and operating model for the future laboratory

This on-the-ground phase, carried out with the SE local teams, was essential to anchor the project in real-world conditions.

What’s next? Formalizing these two models based on insights from the workshops.

A big thank you to the EDF participants:
Fatima Ezzahra Martaj, Maxime Gillaux, Naïm Echarach, Yassine EL BAZ, Nikola Stanković, PhD – EDF R&D
SE participants
Abdullah Almehizia, Ph.D, Murad Anwer Muhammad Anwer, Saab Al-Tamimi, Fadl Al Shaikh, Hamad Al Jafer and Abdullah Dhaydel

Together, we are laying the foundations for a laboratory that will accelerate the transition to smarter and more sustainable power networks.

🌏 Looking back at the Adria Future Summit

On the occasion of the Adria Future Summit, Admir PRELIC, EDF International Networks Serbia Director, took part in several high-level discussions addressing the key challenges of the energy transition in the Adriatic region.

The event provided an opportunity to explore major innovations in the energy sector, with a particular focus on electricity distribution networks, which are at the heart of current transformations:
⚡ large-scale integration of renewable energy sources
⚡ digitalization and smart grid operation
⚡ increased flexibility and resilience in response to growing electrification
⚡ the strategic role of smart grids in securing and optimizing energy distribution

🔹 A highlight of the summit was the exchange with Admir Sahmanovic, Minister of Energy of Montenegro, and Dino Tutundžić, State Secretary for Energy. These discussions enabled constructive dialogue on national priorities, the operational challenges facing distribution networks, and the role of innovation in supporting public energy policies.

🔹 The summit once again highlighted the importance of close cooperation between institutional stakeholders and technical experts. With its international experience in operating and transforming power distribution systems, EDF International Networks contributes to these exchanges by sharing practical expertise and supporting partners in the development of robust, smart, and future-ready electricity networks.
